TAYLORMADE LAUNCHES NEW HI-TOE 4 WEDGE RANGE – Golf News

TaylorMade has launched the fourth generation of its popular Hi-Toe wedge range which is available in stores for pre-order starting August 14th.

Built on the success of previous generations of the Hi-Toe wedge, the Hi-Toe 4 combines TaylorMade's proven design and technology with several added performance features to give golfers more confidence, control and versatility in their short game.

The toe mass pad is more prominent in the Hi-Toe 4 wedges compared to the Hi-Toe 3.

The large profile gives golfers an extra layer of confidence to execute the full range of the game's short shots. Additionally, full-face grooves in the 54°, 56°, 58°, and 60° lofts enable full-face use. Since golfers use different parts of the face to hit different shots, they can do so with greater control.

Like the Milled Grind 4, the Hi-Toe 4 wedges have a higher CG.

This promotes lower starting conditions and higher circulation. With the Hi-Toe 4, golfers can expect a high-speed, predictable ball flight in all types of conditions.

Matt Bovee, TaylorMade's Global Director of Irons and Wedges, said: “Hi-Toe wedges are a great option for any player who gains confidence in a wedge with a larger face and full-face grooves to ensure high spin no matter how you hit. where. in the face.

Now with Spin Tread RAW surface technology and a new grinding array, the Hi-Toe 4 is more efficient and versatile than ever.”

SPIN AND CONTROL

TaylorMade's Spin Tread technology, first seen on the surface of the Milled Grind 4 wedges, is featured in the Hi-Toe wedge line for the first time. The addition of this edge face finish not only promotes friction and traction, it also wicks away moisture in wet conditions.

Whether playing in heavy rain or early morning dew on the grass, golfers stay in control with the Hi-Toe 4 wedges.

Adding to the spin equation, the Hi-Toe 4 wedge features a raw face finish. This is the ending that most tour players choose. It also helps to reduce the dullness common to other plated finishes such as chrome.

FULL FACE GROOVES AND BRASS FINISH

The Hi-Toe 4 wedges have grooves that extend across the clubface from heel to toe at elevations of 54°, 56°, 58°, and 60°. This ensures that golfers get maximum spin, regardless of where the shot is hit on the face. The result is more control, and more types of golf shots that can be played from different lies.

The bottom groove of all Hi-Toe wedges is gold. Aesthetically, the color contrasts seamlessly with the copper finish. The increased offset and increased forward radius make it easier for golfers to hit softer landing shots with an open face.

Gold filling in the bottom hole helps center the ball at address, while making it easier to aim square at the target. Combined with a smaller offset than previous Hi-Toe wedges, aiming square on the target becomes easier.

Aesthetically, the Hi-Toe 4 wedges set themselves apart with their Copper finish. This finish helps reduce glare and will develop a patina over time to create a unique look without sacrificing performance.

ALL TERRAIN GINDS

The Hi-Toe 4 wedges come in many different All-Terrain wedges to suit the entire spectrum of golf abilities and the wide range of conditions golfers play. Each mill is machine milled to ensure only maximum uniformity throughout the manufacturing process.

All Terrain Standard Grind
The most versatile and all-encompassing Hi-Toe 4 grind is the ATS. Ideal for players who prefer a medium face angle at address, it fits all swing styles, and can be used in a variety of playing situations. Its four-way upward camber allows for a more relaxed face manipulation and gives golfers plenty of options for hitting different shots with both open and closed faces. The ATS grind is available in a full menu of lofts ranging from 50° to 60°.

All Terrain Versatility Grind
Golfers with shallow attack angles or playing hard, firm turf will benefit from this asymmetric bounce and concave sole. This versatile design and increased active bounce in the open face area allows for more face manipulation and gun flexibility.

The ATV grind comes in lofts of 56°, 58° and 60°.

All Terrain C grinds
The ATC grind offers our lowest jump option with its unique, reversible C-sole design. The heel relief and toe relief make this grind a reliable choice for shallow players and tight conditions.

The ATC grind is available in both 58° and 60° lofts.
