Photo: Brazil star's son makes surprise switch as Barcelona take on Burnley
They say football is a funny old game, and one transfer this summer proves that more than ever, with Ronaldinho's son, Joao Mendes, signing for Burnley.
The young Brazilian, who also holds a Spanish passport, has moved to the Clarets from Barcelona, where he has been playing for the youth teams since 2023.
Whether or not the Championship club signed the player so much to publicize his footballing talent is not yet clear, although it is one of the more unexpected transfers.
