If the Bruins had taken Swayman to fight him, one thing they knew, what would happen if the team took the player to arbitration, the player gets to choose the name. And Swayman could have opted for a two-year term, which would have sent him straight into unrestricted free agency. And the Bruins aren't dumb enough to fall into that trap. They wouldn't let that happen.
So, look, to be honest, I don't bother a lot of people now. Last I heard, they weren't close. I think these have been challenging negotiations, but they still have time, and we'll see how this goes.”

“This is the time when we get to the point in the summer, where you start to see some players looking at some PTOs or lower salary deals.
Another guy he was watching to see where he got to was Tyson Barrie. It's a real rough year in Nashville. Last year for Barrie was not good for him or the team. Not signed.
I was surprised by that, I thought Barrie would be able to get somewhere by now, no problem, especially with his ability to run the power play. Think one of the hardest things for him right now is, you know, most of these teams, they have their power play quarterbacks, their second unit doesn't play much. Maybe that makes her squeeze him a little.
