Damian Lillard admits that he and the Milwaukee Bucks didn't live up to expectations last season. However, Lillard explained why and insisted that he was not physically present.
“I'm not a breakout player,” Lillard said. “I live a clean, beautiful, healthy life, so I can do it. I would do the same thing (that you describe) that I did two, three years ago. I can do it right now.”
Along with dealing with multiple injuries, Lillard was also dealing with significant off-court challenges, which affected his performance and reduced his efficiency.
