Exclusive: Fabrizio Romano responds to West Ham and Saudi transfer links for the Roman star

Transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano has given his latest insight into the future of Roma striker Tammy Abraham amid links to West Ham United and Saudi Pro League clubs.

Specially speaking CaughtOffside in the latest edition of his Daily Briefing column, Romano discussed AC Milan's recent interest in Abraham, which now seems to have cooled as they move on to other targets.

Meanwhile, it appears that West Ham and Saudi links have been played down, with Romano suggesting that nothing looks concrete or advanced with any of those potential transfer deals.

Abraham got off to a strong start when he first joined Roma, but it's fair to say that his form has dipped in recent times, so perhaps it makes sense that they would let the former Chelsea man go.

Abraham's transfer: Fabrizio Romano's review of the Roma striker

“Tammy Abraham – Despite the reports, I know nothing now about Abraham. I don't have a guarantee for West Ham, in Saudi there are different movements now so it is not something close or tangible,” said Romano.

“Abraham has been at the top of Milan's list for weeks but they have many players and have decided to invest in different positions.”

All in all, it sounds like it could be tricky for Roma to find suitors for Abraham, but perhaps this will be the focus of the last two weeks of the window as it is difficult to see him staying and playing regularly at the Stadio Olimpico.
