Tottenham are one of five Premier League clubs interested in the Galatasaray star
Tottenham are in a battle with four other Premier League clubs for Galatasaray winger Baris Alper Yilmaz according to reports.
Ange Postecoglou is believed to have a large sum of money available to him in the summer to strengthen the Spurs squad, following an impressive first campaign in charge.
Spurs still have a chance to qualify for the Champions League, but are currently in fifth place, seven points behind Aston Villa, despite having two games in hand.
Tottenham aim to win Galatasaray?
Tottenham are reportedly looking to strengthen in two key areas this summer, midfield and forward.
HITC reports that the north London club are ready to fight for the signature of Yilmaz, a midfielder who can play in the middle.
Yilmaz has scored six goals and provided nine assists in all competitions this season, with Galatasaray currently sitting top of the Super Lig table.
The report adds that other Premier League clubs Aston Villa, Manchester United, Bournemouth and Brighton are also in the market for the talented Turkish player.
HITC say that many clubs have scouted Yilmaz and his ability to play anywhere and in midfield is believed to be attractive.
The Turkish giants are said to want £22m for Yilmaz which will not deter potential suitors.
If Yilmaz were to join Spurs he could be seen as a potential replacement for Timo Werner should the club decide against his permanent loan move to RB Leipzig.
The Turkish international will face stiff competition in north London and Spurs already have Son Heung-min, Richarlison, Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusesvki and Manor Solomon as attacking options.
Postecoglou's side will next play on Thursday night as they face Chelsea in the London derby at Stamford Bridge, knowing they need a win if they are to overhaul Villa in fourth place.
