The Hoops have made an impressive start to their 2024/25 season, winning their first two Scottish Premiership games, and they also got past Hibernian in the Scottish League Cup last weekend, winning 3-1 at Parkhead.

This feels like the right time for Kelly to move on, however, to adapt elsewhere and continue his development as a footballer, especially as he has been playing in the Lowland League for Celtic's B team.

The youngster has only played six games for the Hoops at the top level, scoring once in that time, and it's hard to see things changing for him this season.

The Championship will be a good test for the young Scot, in terms of speed, strength and competitive nature, and in the end, it feels more beneficial for him to enjoy a new challenge than to remain frozen under Rodgers.
