Sexual Assault Charge Against Dwight Howard Dropped

A lawsuit filed against former NBA All-Star Dwight Howard alleging sexual assault and battery has been dismissed, according to ESPN.

The impeachment was launched by Stephen Harper, who sued Howard in July 2023.

In this lawsuit, Harper accused Howard of sexually assaulting her at Howard's home in July 2021.

The lawsuit also accused Howard of “intentional infliction of emotional distress” and false imprisonment.

Howard denied the allegations, saying he and Harper had engaged in “consensual sex.”

One of Howard's attorneys told ESPN that Howard did not pay Harper to drop the lawsuit.
