Anthony Joshua will have his career on the line when he faces IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois on September 21 at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
The End of Joshua's Way
Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) turns 35 in two months on October 15 and is too old to rebuild after losing to the 26-year-old Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs).
Trying to come back from another loss will be too much for AJ, and it would be pointless to take the Honorable Turki Alalshikh in his request to continue fighting Tyson Fury, even after losing to Dubois.
If Fury loses a rematch with WBA, WBC, and WBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk on December 21, the All Brit Fury-Joshua dream fight will be very painful because the boxing community will look at it this way:

- Adults
Joshua and Fury will be coming off losses and trying to sell their fight to the world. It wouldn't be a good idea for them to do this, but I wouldn't pass it up either.
As for Joshua being rebuilt by trainer Ben Davison and restored to factory settings in 2013, that is not true. What happened is that Joshua matched the worst team that promoter Eddie Hearn could find to make him look good again.

“When AJ gets beat by Dubois, even AJ can't build himself up to get stronger. I don't think so at this stage of his career. If Dubois is defeated, he will come back again. He will rebuild. If AJ loses, that's why I think he will win,” said Ade Oladipo on the talkSport Boxing YouTube channel explaining why he picked Anthony Joshua to defeat IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois on September 21.
There's still time to rebuild Joshua because he's already in his mid-30s, and he's had bad mistakes from the get-go. Even during AJ's 'good years', Hearn matched him against opponents who were solidly beaten, such as 41-year-old Wladimir Klitschko, Charles Martin, Alexander Povetkin, Joseph Parker, Eric Molina, and Carlos Takam.
That's as good as it gets for Joshua in terms of his best wins in the prime of his career. He didn't fight the best Wladimir unless you consider the 41 year old Wlad as the best. He was old, except for his trainer Emanuel Steward, who died and he had been born to Tyson Fury two years earlier in 2015.
Fury Fight: The Dream Fade?
“That's the fight AJ really wants [Fury],” said Ade about Joshua vs. Fury. “It would be a surprise if AJ were to finish his career in a few years, and it doesn't include Wilder or Fury. It's a weight, but it will be very difficult to do because Fury has to get past Oleksandr Usyk, and we saw how that played out last time. [on May 18th with Tyson losing by a 12-round split decision].”
The world will not end if Joshua and Fury do not fight because some things were not intended. Both boys are already rich and they don't bother with money. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Joshua's net worth is approx $80 millionand Fury's $140 million. If they don't fight, they will always be like the rich lords of England wherever they retire.
“I know Turki [Alalshikh] he said 'It doesn't matter if Fury lost, he can still do AJ-Fury.' You can do it, but the interest is not the same. If both [Fury and Joshua] we should have won, it's the biggest fight we've ever seen in this country and one of the biggest fights in the world of sports. But if Fury were to lose, would anyone want to see AJ vs. Fury? Will Fury want to fight AJ? I'm not sure,” said Ade.
The last thing the fans need is for Joshua and Fury to fight if one or both of them lose their next fights. It's so late in both of their careers that it doesn't matter anymore. Fury looks like he's in his 50s, and Joshua can't punch anymore. He's at the point where his promoter Hearn is bracing him for his skill set.
