It's hard to believe the Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns he's already been in the NBA for nine years, as it feels like yesterday Minnesota drafted him No. 1 overall outside of Kentucky. The 28-year-old has already been in the NBA long enough to say he used to play with him Kevin Garnett, Tayshaun Prince again Kevin Martin as a rookie, that feels crazy to type but it's 100 percent true.
Towns remains one of the best big men in the NBA, though it can be seen as a disappointment that he isn't as far along in his career as he is now given that he averaged 25 points and 12 rebounds as a second-year player and leading third. All-NBA team honors in his third season.
However, the level at which the Towns have appeared is still very impressive. After all, he's a productive scorer as a man up top, as a driver and as a post-up threat – a perennial All-Star with good repeatable and solid playoff numbers.
