Sabonis expressed his surprise that Sacramento was able to re-sign Malik Monk, especially given the financial struggles the team faced to keep the valuable sixth man.
He mentioned that the Kings have limited resources which makes it a challenge to bring Monk back into the fold. Despite these obstacles, Sabonis was impressed with the way Amakhosi handled the season, saying that their move exceeded his expectations.
He was very pleased with the addition of DeMar DeRozan, who he sees as improving the team's overall strength and chances for next season.
