Leeds have signed the Tottenham winger on loan in the sixth deal of the transfer window

Tottenham winger Manor Solomon has described himself as “ready to go to the big levels again” after joining Leeds United on loan until the 2024-25 season.

Spurs have signed Solomon, who scored against Leeds while on loan at Fulham last season, on a free transfer in July 2023.

The 25-year-old made six appearances before undergoing knee surgery in October and struggled during rehabilitation which ruled him out for the entire campaign.

“I had a really tough season last season,” Manor told LUTV. “But now I'm healthy and I'm ready to go, I'm ready to prove myself again.

“I'm ready to go back to the senior level and hopefully we'll have a good season here at Leeds. We have one goal and everyone knows our goal. I hope we will do it together.”

Leeds United 'big'

Israeli international Solomon called Leeds “great” and said he was “excited” to join his parent Premier League club, after speaking to Whites boss Daniel Farke.

“When interest came from Leeds, I started looking for players, a coach,” he added. “I have spoken to the manager and he explained to me how to play, about the players who are in Leeds.

“I know there is a group of great boys, young people with great ambition, with good strategies. I look forward to playing with them and helping them as much as I can. I want to go.”

Leeds lost to Southampton in the play-off final last season as their bid for a quick return to the Premier League failed in the final round.

Leeds news: Solomon signs

Farke was forced to name two goalkeepers on the bench as his side picked up their first Championship win of the season on Friday, a 2-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday.

They drew with Portsmouth and West Brom were both surprisingly one-sided exits with a 3-0 EFL Cup first-round first-round defeat at home to Middlesbrough.

The club said their move for Solomon was successful due to their “deliberate strategy of remaining patient in the transfer window”, adding that “he has been available in recent days”.

Solomon won the Ukrainian Premier League three times and the Ukrainian Cup and Ukrainian Super Cup once each during his time with Shakhtar Donetsk between 2019 and 2023.

He produced two assists in Spurs' 5-2 win over Burnley last season and scored five goals in a row against Fulham between February and March 2023.

Leeds transfer 2024-25

Solomon's switch is the latest deal between Leeds and Spurs following Archie Gray's move to Tottenham for between £30m and £40m in July, with Joe Rodon going the other way in a separate transfer reportedly worth around £10m.

Midfielder Joe Rothwell is on loan from Bournemouth, while Leeds have brought in goalkeeper Alex Cairns from Salford City, defender Jayden Bogle from Sheffield United and winger Largie Ramazani from Almeria.
