Cedi Osman turned down an offer from the Los Angeles Lakers before signing with EuroLeague champions Panathinaikos.

The Turkish forward, 29, was interested in the Lakers but chose to return to Europe after considering his options.

According to Eurohoops, Osman was in advanced talks with Real Madrid but could not finalize a deal with the Spanish club.

The Lakers invited Osman to join their training camp, but there was no guarantee that he would earn a spot on the regular season roster.
