Based on his growth early in his career, many believed he was the New Orleans Pelicans swingman Brandon Ingram at least it will be a perennial All-Star at this point. Instead, Ingram appeared to increase his potential in his fourth season back in 2021-22, the only All-Star campaign of his career, and he has never improved his impact or production since then, instead moving at the same level.

Granted, that rate is impressive, as Ingram just put together a 21/5/6 season on 49.2 percent shooting from the floor. It just seems like the former Duke standout would have been better now, leading many to be disappointed that Ingram has been, which may not be so good. After all, if Ingram plays in the Eastern Conference, he might be an All-Star every year – he just has the misfortune of playing in a Western Conference full of star wings.

Still, there was no question Ingram seemed to be leading the way now. The Pelicans must feel that way, too, as Ingram was one of the most talked about names in trade rumors this past summer.

Maybe switching positions would be good for Ingram, as he has the most skill, great size, length, skill and quickness for a small forward, a player who can give you 20 points every night with rebounds, some play for others. and other takeaways have been collected.

But right now, he's playing for a New Orleans team full of wings, including a former No. 1 pick. Zion WilliamsonIngram is standing, there's no doubt about that. (In addition to Williamson, Ingram also has to share with two other players who will appear later on this list.)

That leads us to believe that maybe Ingram's transition could come at the February trade deadline.
