Carmelo Anthony Calls Shaq Mid Rudy Gobert Beef
Knicks legend Carmelo Anthony weighed in on the seemingly never-ending beef between Shaq and Rudy Gobert.
You can find their beef in some of our previous articles, but these two have been trading for a long time.
It's not the first time Shaq has trashed Gobert, but things got heated when O'Neal named the Timberwolves big man the WOAT – the worst player to ever play in the NBA.
Melo asked the Lakers legend to cool down about Gobert's slander.
“Yo Shaq, Champ, leave Rudy the man alone,” Anthony said on his podcast, 7PM in Brooklyn. “Come on, bro, I said you're taking him out, man, shut this guy up, man. You know, Sacré bleu, and all this corruption.”
Melo also suggested that one of the reasons why O'Neal is so salty to some current NBA players is because they don't feel the need to turn to the Hall-of-Famer for basketball advice.
“I wish they could [see Shaq],” said Anthony. “Having said that, they don't want to because they don't see that there is a conflict between Shaq's game and today's game. So no one says go see Shaq. They will say, go see this guy, go see Melo, I said they don't like going to see Shaq. Now that's the wrong part, I mean to you if they reached out to him and put him through training and back in the game with that idea. He brings it back to the game a lot but in that sense these young guys aren't going to want to say, 'Yo Shaq, come teach me'. I wanted Shaq.”
