There was high drama as the Korn Ferry Tour Championship went down to the wire on Sunday in Indiana.

Not only to see who will finish with the trophy, but also to find out who will grab the 30 PGA Tour cards that could be taken from the season's top finishers.

Going into the final KFT event, 17 players knew the PGA Tour was tied for their play for the rest of the season, leaving 13 spots up for grabs.

When the final putt went down, one of the cards went to this week's winner, Braden Thornberry, who put together a final round of six-under 66 in difficult conditions at French Lick to fall six shots back to start the day and win by one.

Thornberry, the 2017 NCAA Champion and top freshman, entered the week 51st in the rankings, meaning a win was essential for him to advance. It was the same for Doc Redman, who led for most of the day, but bogeyed the 15th hole and fell short, denying him a return to the PGA Tour.

The last group also decided who would get the 30th card, but indirectly. Brian Campbell, who already had his Tour card locked up this week, hit a six-foot pat putt on the last to secure second place with Redman and Alistair Docherty.

Do you miss it? A tie for second would have meant Docherty earned enough points to finish 30th on the leaderboard and earn his PGA Tour card. Did you succeed? After that Docherty doesn't get enough points in the par three and Noah Goodwin, who bogeyed his last hole to finish T44, returns to the top 30.

Campbell missed the putt, making Goodwin's dream, but a heartbreaking spell for Docherty.
