After an emotional home win, the expert shared a touching moment with Grandma
Ben An shared a touching moment with his grandmother at the Genesis Championship.

Ben An has had more wins in his career than this weekend's win at the Genesis Championship in his home country of South Korea.
But do you still have more sense? It's hard to say.
There was An, walking up the 18th fairway at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club in South Korea and on the verge of winning a playoff against Tom Kim. And there, on the 18th green, stood someone who had never seen a Claim of victory of any kind: His grandmother.
An went up to the green, stared down a 6-footer to find a bird of prey, and finished it off. He took a deep breath as the caddy's usual hug continued, looking up at the sky, then peering out onto the 18th green, where his family was waiting.
When An came to them, tears were flowing. First with his wife, Jamie, then with his parents, and finally with his grandmother, gray and gaunt.
As An hugged her grandmother, tears began to fall, rolling down her cheeks. It was a rare form of validation for An — a chance to celebrate in front of many loved ones.
“I mean, – yeah – I'm still affected by it,” An said, wiping tears from her eyes, in a post-round DP World Tour interview. “I didn't think I would have such feelings after winning.”
The reason for the tears, he explained, was his grandmother. Although he lived with An for many years of his golfing career, he had never seen him lift the trophy before. All the years of golf – and many of the successes – have come with Grandma watching from the sidelines.
“I saw my mother, I saw my grandmother. Yes, my grandmother lived with me for 10, 12 years in the US, and she is my biggest supporter,” said another. “Actually, it's the first time you've seen me lift the trophy in person. My parents saw me win tournaments, my wife saw me win the Korn Ferry Tour, but my grandmother never saw me win a tournament in her life, so that touched my heart.”
