McDavid had an awkward fall while trying to attack the zone, trying to keep the puck while ripping it from a Blue Jackets defender. He took longer than usual to wake up and didn't go out to finish his work. As he returned to the bench, he seemed to favor his left leg. He sat on the bench for a few minutes before heading to the dressing room.
McDavid, 27 years old, has three goals and seven assists for ten points in nine games this season. During his career, he has scored 338 goals and added 654 assists for 992 points in 654 games for an average of 1.52 points per game. The Oilers started the season 4-4-1, and after a slow start they found themselves playing a strong game as they tried to climb back to the top of the Pacific Division.
This story is developing, and we will continue to update you on McDavid's situation as more news becomes available.
