The Minnesota Wild (18-5-4) and the Los Angeles Kings (16-8-3) compete Saturday night in downtown Los Angeles.
The confrontation between the two teams turned into a battle, Amakhosi ended up winning 4-1. Darcy Kuemper netted for the Kings, while Marc-Andre Fleury guarded the Wild.

The Kings Lead In The Open
The first period of the game remained scoreless until the final 43 seconds when both teams struggled to distribute the puck and create scoring opportunities. With time running out, Adrian Kempe took advantage of his luck and put the ball into Fleury's net, giving the Kings the lead on their home court. With his 13th of the season, Kempe leads the team in goals.

A bloody brawl broke out between Tanner Jeannot and Marcus Foligno, sending both players to the penalty box with five minutes left. Jeannot, covered in blood and bruised, was escorted to the dressing room. The mayhem continued when Marcus Johansson was penalized for tripping Vladislav Gavrikov, giving Amakhosi an important opportunity to play on the power play. The Kings wasted no time, Alex Laferriere's shot made it 2-0 at the 11:27 mark. The Wild put a lot of pressure on Goa, but couldn't find a way to solve the Kings' defense. The intensity of the game led to several penalties, which disrupted the flow of play.

The third period was a physical battle, with both teams determined to drop the gloves again. Yakov Trenin broke up the shutout, but the Wild lost 4-1 to the Kings, and Trevor Moore scored two empty-netters. The Wild will face the Utah Hockey Club on Tuesday, Dec. 10. Meanwhile, the Kings will begin a 7-game road trip against the New York Islanders on the same day.
