Leeds splashed out on a £25k-p/w signing who played under Cooper
The head coach of Leeds United, Daniel Farke, was supported by the board in the summer transfer window last year as it allowed to make a number of new players.
His other additions, including the likes of Ethan Ampadu, Ilia Gruev, Glen Kamara, and Joe Rodon, turned out to be great additions to the team.
Ampadu, who was named in the Championship team of the Season, has been one of the standout players since his permanent move from Chelsea last summer.
However, the German employer did not reach the mark for all the work done in that window. Djed Spence arrived on loan before being returned to Tottenham Hotspur in January, while Jaidon Anthony has failed to make an impact on the pitch this season.
Why Leeds signed Jaidon Anthony
The Whites snapped up the season-winning player on loan from Premier League side Bournemouth last summer, after a season in the top flight with the Cherries.
Anthony arrived at Elland Road after returning with three goals and one assist in 30 Premier League appearances for his parent club during the 2022/23 campaign.

As you can see from the table above, the English whiz had his eye on the Championship with Bournemouth's winning season last year.
He showed his quality as a goalscorer and goal creator with 26 goals and 'big chances' created combined in 45 league outings.
Leeds were cleared by Jaidon Anthony
Unfortunately, Leeds have yet to see the best of the 24-year-old star this season as they were hammered at Elland Road, enduring a difficult season on the pitch so far.
According to Capology, the Whites paid him £25k-a-week wages while on loan and that money was drained down the drain, due to his lack of impact on the pitch.
Incredibly, Anthony has played fewer minutes (503) in the Championship than veteran defender Liam Cooper (707), although the Scotland defender has made just 15 appearances so far.
18 players have played more minutes than the Cherries loanee in Farke's league, which shows how little he has been used in this term.
Anthony has started just two league games for Leeds and has been substituted in a further 29. Meanwhile, he performed slightly less in front of goal with one strike from 1.7 xG.
The right-footed player has failed to register a single assist and has not created a single 'big' chance for his team-mates in 31 appearances in the competition.
In the end, the Bournemouth whiz didn't do enough on the pitch to justify the £25k-a-week Leeds had to pay to loan him out.

Daniel Farke may yet have his heir apparent to the Italian whiz in the club's youth set-up.
He didn't contribute much in the attacking ranks in the Championship and was rarely used by Farke, playing even under the centre-back – Cooper – who held it for the natural midfielder – Ampadu.
So, the Yorkshire-based side have been cleared by a £25k-a-week loan so far this season, and it may take some surprise heroics in the play-offs remaining this month for him to have his time at the club. remembered as a success.
