Golf Business News – Little Golf announces UK distribution partner for range of sustainable golf bags
California-based golf bag brand Minimal Golf is to start selling its range of trolley and stand bags in the UK for the first time.
With a mission to create the best, environmentally responsible golf products for 'Player and Planet', Mini Golf is dedicated to 'innovation, utility, conservation, and convenience'.
Now, golfers across the UK can get these premium golf bags through an exclusive partnership with EuroSelect Golf Stores.
The range currently includes i Terra stand bag and Gaia cart/cart bag, both designs of which originated from similar bags made for the US market.
Both bags are made from recycled Seawastex nylon and ripstop made from discarded nylon fishing nets found in oceans and beaches. These are processed into pellets and made into a strong nylon thread with a waterproof adhesive. Both also feature magnetic pocket closures, eliminating zippers that are often the number one feature that fails in a golf bag.

The Gaia is a 9.5-inch trolley bag with a 14-way top with full-length dividers. Weighing in at 3.36kg, it packs all the same features as the Terra bag with the addition of two more pockets, 8 on the outside and 3 on the inside. Sam Goulden, CEO and founder of Minimal Golf, said: “With our experience in making premium golf bags we want to leave our mark. We strive to make our product sustainable by using high performance nylon sourced from waste fishing nets found in our oceans. Our environmental mission is to reduce, recycle and reuse whenever possible. We work with sustainability initiatives that align with our values and preserve our environment. It is an expensive process, but effective in reducing microplastic pollution in our oceans.”
“Furthermore, the most common reason for throwing away a golf bag is broken hinges. Little Golf has done away with these hardware and instead opted for a magnetic pocket closure that does the job better, more efficiently and most importantly will last longer than you will ever use your golf bag.”
“We've worked with our global team to develop the right bags for each region and we're thrilled with the feedback EuroSelect has received that Minimal Golf can be seen in the golf world outside of the US.”
Nick Tempest, General Manager of EuroSelect Golf Stores, commented: “The opportunity to work with Minimal Golf and introduce a different brand of golf bag through our network of independent retailers is an exciting project for us. We look forward to the journey with Minimal Golf to bring to the market a sustainable and sustainable brand that should attract our customers”.
