NEW YORK – Wyatt Henseler kept staring at the plate to see if Columbia coach Brett Boretti would throw up four fingers, indicating to the home plate umpire his desire to intentionally walk the Ivy League Player of the Year.

Henseler struck out a league-leading 20 innings before sparking a Penn rally to tie the score, and now he stepped to the plate with runners on the corners and two outs.

Columbia brought in senior James Vaughn to face Henseler and gave him a chance to fight three teams in unison.[…]
