Fury Throws Out Anger After Losing Undisputed Heavyweight Crown

Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) is coming off a 12-round split decision loss to Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) on Saturday night in their undisputed heavyweight bout in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Arabia. Tyson was in sore loss mode.

It was sad to see Fury go into meltdown mode after the fight, coming up with some wild-brained excuse for Usyk to get the W tonight.

Sour Grapes and Sore Loser Vibes

Former WBC heavyweight champion Fury cried bitterly after the fight feeling like he won the fight and Usyk won because he is from Ukraine, a country that is fighting Russia.

It would have been nice if he would have taken the high road, shown some class, and given Usyk full credit for beating him because he clearly did.

The scores were 115-112, 114-113 for Usyk, and 114-113 for Fury. I had it 115-112 for Usyk. He got the better of Fury in rounds 1, 2, 9, 10, 11 and 12. A 10-8 round in the ninth made all the difference in the fight, and Fury was lucky the referee didn't stop the contest.

Fury should count his lucky stars that referee Mark Nelson didn't stop the fight in the ninth round after Usyk hit the ropes. The referee giving Fury a count instead of stopping the fight was a questionable move on his part because he was completely out. It had to be stopped.

The King of Gypsies looked bad throughout the fight, his trunks raised to cover his midsection, leaving little room for Usyk to target his lean body.

For fans who remember Fury four years ago when he defeated Deontay Wilder in 2020, physically, he wasn't the same fighter. The little speed that Fury had was nowhere to be seen tonight.

The effort Fury put in over the last four rounds was pitiful. He was basically just holding, showing the boat, holding the ropes, and using strong arms to keep Usyk from getting any closer.

Fury's Delusional Interview

“Oleksandr, I believe I have won that battle. I believe he won a few of them, but I won most of them. What can you do? It's one of them in boxing,” said Fury after the fight in an interview with DAZN.

“His side is in the wars, so people are on the country's side in the war,” Fury said of Usyk, who is from Ukraine. “Make no mistake, I have won the war in my opinion, I will return. I found a duplicate clause. We will go back in October.”
