The club are ready to pay £30m for the Arsenal midfielder as they look for a £55m replacement

Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is reportedly wanted by Fulham this summer, and they are ready to pay £30million for the 25-year-old, who is little more than a club player at the Emirates Stadium.

This is according to Solezwe, who claim that the Gunners are serious about signing RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, meaning a £30m boost to their transfer kitty would be very useful as the young Slovenian star could cost £55m.

Nketiah is said to be highly rated by Arsenal, so there is a reluctance to let him go, according to Solezwe, adding that a loan could appeal to the Gunners, while Everton has been named as another possible option as they will only want a temporary move.

Sesko would be an upgrade, though, so Arsenal would do well to cash in on Nketiah if there really is a lot of interest and anyone willing to pay him that money.

Benjamin Sesko to Arsenal?

Arsenal should cash in on Nketiah to fund Sesko's transfer

Sesko has looked like a very exciting talent during his time in the Bundesliga and it would be very important for Mikel Arteta to have another goalscorer he can rely on in his team.

The 21-year-old has a big future in the game, while Nketiah is progressing slowly now and it seems clear that he will not live up to the ability he showed early in his career.

Arsenal came very close to winning the Premier League title last season, and despite not having a top striker in their squad, so bringing in Sesko could really help them close that small gap between them and Manchester City.

Nketiah, as good as he is, is not the type of player who will make a difference in the title race or in the big games of the Champions League, so this would be the right time to sell.
