Stoke Park to reopen for 'pay and play' rounds – Golf News
Stoke Park, which has been largely closed for the past two years, has given a major update on its future, as the parkland golf course welcomes returning golfers to 'pay and play' its historic Harry Colt course from June 8.
The Buckinghamshire-based luxury hotel, golf and country club closed its doors to members in 2021 after being bought by Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani, who has invested heavily in the 300-acre property.
As well as the development of the golf course, and the opening of a new coaching studio in March, the regeneration plans for the site include the development of the Grade I listed historic mansion, the construction of 'seven star' hotel accommodation, and the construction of a new clubhouse.
A spokesman for the club said: “While we work to deliver their masterplan for the future of Stoke Park, which includes major improvements to the existing course, the course has been opened for golf training and special golf events, and the club is now looking forward to welcoming regular play on the existing course while the future planning process continues.”

In another move, Buckinghamshire Council, which owns the Stoke Park freehold, has given planning permission to convert the downstairs golf club changing rooms into a commercial kitchen.
Basement changing rooms were installed in 1995, however, the club, writing in its planning application, said the facilities were 'too small and unsuitable for modern needs' and would be moved to a new site to free up space. modern commercial kitchen design.
Stoke Park, which will host the annual Boodles tennis tournament from June 25-29, is currently seeking planning permission for a new fishpond and pergola to be built within the grounds to host social events.
