Chelsea's new signing has made some worrying comments about his future at the club

Chelsea signing Marc Guiu is not entirely sure where his future lies.

The striker was signed by the Blues from Barcelona this summer for £5million.

He is part of Chelsea's summer overhaul which included signings such as Estevao Willian, Kiernan Dewbury-Hall, Tosin Adarabioyo and others.

However, the striker admitted that he still does not know if he will be loaned out or given the chance to be part of the Chelsea team next season.

The Blues have plenty of options up front and are expected to sign another in an attacking position, which could result in an exit from the club when Chelsea sign in the summer.

“I still don't know if I will borrow. I hope to stay, I am working for it. He (Maresca) told me that there is an amazing game full of young talent, that he wants me to be a part of it and that he has high hopes for me and my skills and abilities,” he told the Daily Mail.

“I think I'm ready. We work hard every day both on and off the pitch, physically and functionally. So I think I'm ready to be on the field. I'm just focusing on the pre-season tour, doing my best and that's all I can say.

“It was a difficult decision (to leave Barcelona) but I always wanted to play in the Premier League and this was an amazing opportunity, so I had to take it. I'm very happy in the club. It's a wonderful thing. I try to do my best and get the best out of myself.”

The Blues have options for Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku in attacking positions at the moment and are currently ahead of the young striker respectively at Stamford Bridge.

Marc Guiu will not get enough playing time at Chelsea

He does not have enough experience to start at Chelsea and before being given a place in the starting line-up, he will have to gain more experience at the club to get regular minutes.

Guiu has been given the chance to play before the new season as manager Enzo Maresca is keeping a close eye on the player before the start of the new season.

From Stamford Bridge, perhaps a move to a Premier League club could help Guiu in his development to become a future starter at Chelsea.
