Former world number 1 tennis player Andy Murray is determined to become a golfer who has just taken his first lesson.

Sharing a clip of his driving range video, Andy wrote: “First golf lesson today on the journey to becoming a first time golfer! Any tips are welcome!”

Golf runs in the Murray blood one could say and the 18th hole at Dunblane Golf Course is actually called 'Murrays 'Hame' in honor of the famous family.

Both Andy and Jamie were young members of the group; now, they are honorary members for life, with Jamie having proven himself to be a talented player in the past.

“We chose to give them this award because of their success, and both boys were junior members here,” said a team source.

“Jamie was a three or four handicap player and spent a lot of time here.”

The Dunblane course is a sacred place for both Murray brothers.

“I've spent most of my life down here (at the sports club), and when I wasn't playing tennis I was playing golf,” Jamie said.

After retiring from tennis following the Paris Olympics, Andy set his sights on hitting the links.

“First of all, I want to be at home with my family. I want to spend more time with my kids and my wife, so I'm not on the road so much, I know that. I will play a lot of golf – I want to be a beginner golfer. “I've always loved to play golf, but because of back problems I haven't played in five or six years,” said Murray.
