UX reacts as Chelsea part ways with Mauricio Pochettino

Chelsea did 'Chelsea'.

The Blues have parted ways with manager Mauricio Pochettino after just 11 months in charge, with key disagreements over his end-of-season review leading to a parting of ways. Nothing is ever easy at Stamford Bridge, is it?

Predictably, social media went a little crazy over the news.

A few months into the 2023/24 season, this fate seemed inevitable as Chelsea continued to struggle on the pitch and Pochettino found himself at odds with a large number of fans due to his Tottenham roots.

However, 2024 saw a huge uptick in form for Chelsea, who returned to sixth in the Premier League and will be playing Europa League football next year despite Manchester United's surprise win over Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

Who is the next boss was a real debate.

Chelsea are searching for a permanent fourth manager of the Boehly-Clearlake era and the possibilities seem endless, such is the unexpected chaos of this iteration of Chelsea.

Much of the frustration was directed at co-owner Todd Boehly, who has become the head of Chelsea's ownership group despite not being responsible for everything at Stamford Bridge.

Reports suggest that Boehly was not even involved in meetings with Pochettino, but that did not stop fans from looking to America.

In the end, whether fans wanted Pochettino to stay or not, the general feeling on social media was the same it's bad.

The desperate search for some form of stability continues.
