Fatalities on the golf course are often down to things like being struck by lightning, which is more common than you might think.

Some serious injuries can be caused by clubs because the player accidentally hits himself or because the club breaks and hits a bystander.

Whatever you do on the golf course keep safety in mind at all times.

Avoid players during swings and avoid standing in the way of potential shots.
