Unai Emery is ready to let Kortney Hause leave Aston Villa this summer

Aston Villa are ready to part ways with Kortney Hause this summer as the 28-year-old is not part of Unai Emery's plans at Villa Park.

The defender has endured the toughest period of his career not having laced up the boots since October 2022, when he made just three appearances in the pre-season with Watford going under the knife to solve a knee problem.

Hause is ready to return to work at the start of the new campaign but his future will not be at Villa.

Unai Emery sent him out on loan to the Championship when he first arrived, but under different circumstances last year the Spaniard opted to leave the defender out of his 25-man Premier League squad for the 2023/24 season.

According to The Athletic, Emery has no plans for Hause ahead of the 2024/25 campaign and is ready to part ways with the defender. Aston Villa are ready to send the player back on loan but a permanent move could be preferred.

Kortney Hause will leave Aston Villa this summer

Aston Villa should try to sell Kortney Hause

Hause has only one year left on his current Aston Villa contract, therefore, the Birmingham club should try to secure a permanent deal for the player during the transfer window.

Villa are one of the clubs that have had problems with the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules this summer and any money brought in would help prevent potential problems. Hause is a player who shouldn't be in the minority to sell him as he doesn't earn a lot of money and will be available for Championship teams.

If the defender leaves it will be the end of five years at Villa Park and the player wishes it could have been different as he unfortunately missed important time due to his problems.
