Draymond Green Responds To Klay Thompson Not Following The Warriors

Klay Thompson's longtime teammate Draymond Green shared his reaction to Klay not following the Warriors on his Instagram page.

Thompson unfollowed the Warriors on June 15, but still follows the G League affiliate.

A number of disgruntled athletes have unfollowed their team and archived past posts.

But as rumors of Thompson hitting free agency swirled for months, many fans took the move as confirmation that Klay would move on this summer.

But Green thinks it's funny that people read about it so much.

“I know you all probably wanted me to talk about Klay unfollowing the Warriors, deleting the IG post or something,” Green said. The Draymond Green Show. “I didn't know that happened. I think it's funny. To know when I laughed [his producer Jackson’s] like, 'What about Klay?' and I say, 'What happened?' and he's like, 'He stopped following the Warriors.'

“I think that's funny. I know you all want to get someone's feelings hurt or something. It is not that, it will never be that. That's funny.”

Green has worked with Thompson throughout his 12 years in the league.

Green, Klay and Steph Curry won four championships with the Dubs and built their own dynasty there.

Draymond and Steph along with Golden State head coach Steve Kerr and GM Mike Dunleavy Jr. they all said they'd like to bring Klay back next season, but their luxury tax bill isn't going down.

Teams like the Lakers, Knicks and Magic have significant interest in the veteran guard.
