OMAHA – We are in the midst of a Men's College World Series that features several highly regarded players who failed to put up the totals we expected.
Virginia went 0-2 here, scoring five runs in those two games. In a 1-2 showing, North Carolina scored nine runs in three games. Kentucky has six runs in two games. Texas A&M is 2-0 but has scored just eight runs.
Some of that, in A&M's case specifically, is due to injuries. Much of that trend, however, is due to Charles Schwab Field playing more than usual thankfully[…]
