Mourinho is keen to reunite with Man United's Victor Lindelof

Victor Lindelof's future at Man United is uncertain ahead of the 2024/25 campaign as there is interest in the player from across Europe, including Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

The Swedish star is out of contract at Old Trafford in 2025, meaning the current transfer window could be the perfect time to sell the defender if he is unable to sign a new deal with the Manchester club.

The Red Devils are in the market for a central midfielder and if they secure one in the coming weeks it could see Lindelof leave Man United.

The 29-year-old has been with United since 2017 when Jose Mourinho brought him back to Old Trafford from Benfica. The famous coach is now interested in joining Lindelof at his new club Fenerbahce as the Turkish outfit consider a move for the Man United star.

Fabrizio Romano says Fenerbahce's interest in Lindelof is genuine but no talks have advanced and a deal is nowhere near being finalised.

Could Jose Mourinho reunite with Man United's Victor Lindelof in Turkey?

Writing in his CaughtOffside's latest exclusive column The Daily BriefingFabrizio Romano has said that Fenerbahce are interested in Lindelof, but there is nothing concrete about the offer yet.

“Victor Lindelof's future at Man United is uncertain ahead of the new season as the defender's contract at Old Trafford expires in the summer of 2025. There is interest from Turkey in Fenerbahce, who like Lindelof. Their new coach Jose Mourinho brought this player back to United in 2017 and the two can work together again,” said the transfer expert.

“However, I am not aware of any advanced discussions with the team or the player yet. I'm told it's not a close deal as Fenerbahce are interested at the moment, so it's not an advanced deal. There are other options that the player is considering regarding his future.”
