LeBron James No Longer Priority To Play With Bronny: Report

LeBron James has always said that his dream is to play in the NBA alongside his son Bronny, but things may have changed.

But, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that his conversations with James' agent Rich Paul made him think “that the idea of them playing together is not a priority; it's not at the forefront, at least, of LeBron James' mind.”

The long-time insider went on to explain that Paul is trying to gauge whether or not there are any NBA teams suitable for Bronny to draft him.

“Rich Paul's goal here in the Bronny James pre-draft program is to see if there is a good development program or organization, a place that can take a young player like Bronny James, who was out for five months after his heart attack. with him during his season at USC,” Woj said on Tuesday's show NBA Today. “If he can get in the schedule, he'll probably spend the next year in the G League.”

The Lakers may have traded the team's first-round pick instead of using it to draft Bronny to make history playing with his father, Woj said.

“I think what LeBron James, Bronny James and Rich Paul said was, if somehow they end up together, it would be great,” Wojnarowski said. “But you look at the Lakers' draft stock, No. 17, that's the most important pick the Lakers could possibly use in a major trade. You wouldn't use it on 17 year old Bronny James. Then they have No. 55. He might have left by then.”

There is no guarantee that LeBron will still wear the purple and gold next season, since he left fans surprised after the Lakers were eliminated from the postseason.
