Diego Llorente will leave this summer

With Leeds promoted to the Premier League next season, one player will be leaving the Elland Road outfit this summer.

The All Whites must first understand what level of football they will be playing in 2024/25 before making specific plans to exchange players.

Diego Llorente will leave Leeds permanently this summer

It is clear that their budget will be significantly reduced if they play in the Championship compared to England, and that may require them to drop more players from the squad than they would like.

However, as reported by Il Messaggero, Diego Llorente will be joining Roma no matter what, after his look-out clause is triggered which ensures that the loan will be a permanent move.

Earning £28k a week (Salary Sport), taking Llorente's wages off the books will be more helpful than a hindrance to the All Whites.

That's because it will free up some space in the kitty, allowing Leeds to bring in another player or two.
