Each of the Premier League title contenders play their home games of the season in FPL Gameweek 36. So who should we consider for the belt?
I chose to select the top captains in conjunction with Fantasy Football Hub's powerful AI Points Predictions tool to show their predicted points for FPL Gameweek 36.
Erling Haaland
It was comforting to see Erling Haaland return from injury to make the bench when Manchester City visited Nottingham Forest last weekend. He looked sharp while playing 28 minutes as a substitute, scoring with two shots on target.
That takes Haaland to 21 goals this season as they look to secure their second consecutive Premier League Golden Boot. It's still a hotly contested battle, with Cole Palmer, Ollie Watkins and Alexander Isak all within touching distance.
Mohamed Salah
Mohamed Salah has had a challenging few weeks in a period where Liverpool have dropped ten points from five league games, putting their title hopes on hold. Salah has scored one goal this season and has found himself sitting on the bench in two of these games.
Despite these challenges, Egypt's basic numbers remain good, scoring 15 goals in the last four weeks, including four big chances. He has scored 12 of 17 goals this campaign at Anfield and has penalties in his locker, meaning his scoring chances are always high.
Phil Foden
Phil Foden has been an equally frustrating fantasy player to own over the last four game weeks, starting one game. However, he has continued to impress on the pitch as he has scored five goals in three games since the break.
The Man City star is ranked third for the most shots on goal in 2024, showing his improved goal threat in what will be his best ever season. He faces a Wolves side with key defensive injuries, having scored 11 goals in their last seven outings and failing to keep a clean sheet this term.
