Anthony Edwards' words, “They got KD, but we got Jaden McDaniels” are as old as fine wine.
Ant said this about McDaniels and the Suns last season, but there was never a need.
In the first round against Phoenix, McDaniels took out Durant.

In the second round against the Nuggets in Game 2, McDaniels was one of the key players who helped shut down Jamal Murray in the offense.
The Wolves held him to just 3-18 shooting from the field.

After the T-Wolves' complete game 106-80 Game 2 1 of the Nuggets, Edwards made sure to give his teammates the credit they deserve.
“I want to give a shout out to Jaden McDaniels before I walk out of here,” Edwards told reporters after the game. “He was amazing throughout the finals and this series in particular. I think he's like +51 or something and he's probably only had five points, three shots in both games. Do not complain, continue to be vigilant, continue to pick up in the whole court.”
Edwards is averaging 35 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game in this series against Denver, while McDaniels' impact is more subtle.
The 23-year-old is already 2-14 from the field, yet has a plus/minus of +40 through the first two games of the series.
“We wouldn't be the team we are today, we wouldn't be the team we were in the regular season. [without him],” said Edward. “I hope we can keep him out and he can continue to play like that because he is definitely the x-factor of the team. Everything he brings, we are very grateful. So, a big shout out to Jaden, for sure. “
