Jurgen Klopp names one thing he was sure of after taking the Liverpool job

Jurgen Klopp says he knew he wanted to be Liverpool manager as soon as he took the job, admitting he now feels like he will “never walk alone” in life once he does.

The German will step down at the end of the season and brings nine years of success to the table with just two games remaining in his Reds tenure – which will be at Aston Villa on Monday before his season ends with a home game against Wolverhampton. Wanderers.

As his departure date draws ever closer, Klopp explained why success with Liverpool means more than any other club.

“If you win with Liverpool, it costs about five with another team,” he told the club's press. “Feeling a good moment is really good, the experience of a good moment with a lot of people together is a completely different level and the same as the bad moments. So that's really special.”

Klopp also had the chance to look back on his move to Liverpool back in 2015, explaining why he cut short his holiday to move to Anfield.

“If you look at that in 2015, it feels like I've been here for 25 years,” he said. “It was great, I was looking forward to it. I really enjoyed this opportunity.

“We wanted to go to another country, we wanted to move to England. And obviously we didn't regret it. I could have grown up here. I'm not a city person, I grew up in the countryside. .

“I knew I would enjoy being here. We felt at home here. We felt blessed.”

In an emotional final message to fans, Klopp added: “We gave Liverpool the best time of our lives and in another way. That's the best thing I take from here, that I'm obviously allowed to think that I'll never walk alone again in my life.”
