After taking a comfortable approach to Sunday's game at Carrow Road in the first leg, Leeds returned to their best form in the second leg and confirmed their place at Wembley with goals from Ilia Gruev, Joel Piroe, Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville.

It will meet the winner of the second semi-final tomorrow night, the second leg between Southampton and West Brom.

Norwich was hoping to stay strong early in order to silence the crowd but failed to stop Leeds as the home team kept going at their own pace.

Summerville could have scored an early goal but shot wastefully but Daniel Farke's men took the lead after seven minutes from an unexpected source.

Gruev equalized the free-kick 30 yards from goal, and with everyone expecting him to cross the ball to the far post, he chose to curl a brilliant effort past Norwich goalkeeper Angus Gunn at his near post.

Gunn was at fault again 13 minutes later as Leeds doubled their lead, failing to clear his line to collect Wilfried Gnonto's cross on the right, allowing Piroe the easy task of netting.

If Norwich were to resist any chance they needed a quick response but, having been given a clear chance on goal after an ill-advised slip from Ethan Ampadu, Josh Sargent curled his shot straight at Illan Meslier.

It proved to be a costly miss as Leeds added a third before the break.

Piroe blasted down the left, Summerville assisted a deflection and Rutter smashed the ball into the net from the far post.

Gunn atoned for his earlier mistakes with two saves to deny Piroe as the second half started in similar fashion.

But he could do little to prevent Summerville getting on the scoresheet after a back-to-back from Junior Firpo as Leeds moved within one win of an immediate return to the top flight.
