SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — USC speedster Austin Overn had already made a head start. He then turned it into a game-changing touchdown as the Trojans rallied from a 5-1 deficit to defeat Utah on the first day of the Pac-12 Tournament at Scottsdale Stadium.

Utah led 6-4 entering the eighth inning, and reliever Jackson Elder had recorded four outs on just nine pitches. But the Trojans were able to get the first two runners on Elder and Overn hit a single to advance Kevin Takeuchi to third, giving Utah the all-time save.[…]
