Man Utd predicted to face Man City

Manchester United have a chance to save their season on Saturday afternoon when they face Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

A repeat of last season's final defeat by the Red Devils, Erik ten Hag's side will have to put aside some questionable recent performances to beat the world champions and make it 13 in England's oldest cup competition. If they can win Pep Guardiola's team, they will secure the Europa League football next season as they have missed the European games in the league.

Although beating the Premier League champions will be very difficult, with Man City unbeaten in regulation since early December, some returning stars will boost United's confidence levels ahead of the trip to the capital.

Here's how United could go into what could be Ten Hag's last game in charge.

Marcus Rashford

GK: Andre Onana – After David de Gea's expensive performance in last season's final, Onana will be aiming to avoid the same fate as his predecessor. The stopper has been incredibly impressed by the Red Devils this term but will have to do his best to deny the likes of Erling Haaland and Phil Foden.

RB: Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Having shown his versatility by playing in both full-back roles, Wan-Bissaka is likely to be called upon in his preferred position at right-back this weekend. The 26-year-old may have to deal with the dual threat of Foden and Josko Gvardiol.

CB: Raphael Varane – Harry Maguire is unavailable this Saturday meaning Varane will be handed his last appearance in a Man Utd shirt before his summer exit.

CB: Lisandro Martinez – Man Utd's bad spells this season have often coincided with Martinez's injury. The Argentinian is back as he played for an hour at the AMEX Stadium last weekend, his first since early February.

LB: Diogo Dalot – One of Man Utd's best performers over the past nine months, the Portuguese showed attacking potential from left back and netted in last week's 2-0 win over Brighton.

CM: Casemiro – Having been criticized for his appalling performances at centre-back, Casemiro will be relieved to see some of Man Utd's more orthodox defenders return to fitness. However, he hasn't covered himself in midfield glory lately.

CM: Kobbie Mainoo A ray of hope for Man Utd, Mainoo is now one of the first names on the team sheet. Called up in England's provisional 33-man squad, confidence should rise for the youngster, who scored in their 3-2 win over Newcastle.

RW: Alejandro Garnacho – While he prefers a role on the left side, which allows him to get in with his preferred foot, Garnacho may be asked to switch wings at Wembley. The 19-year-old has shown a handful of defenses he has faced this season.

AM: Bruno Fernandes – The captain is as important to Man Utd as the attacking players, Ten Hag's men have failed to score in both games he has missed in the past few weeks.

LW: Marcus Rashford – Amad Diallo's impressive form puts his place in the starting line-up in jeopardy, with Rashford also left out of England's Euro 2024 squad. However, he loved the goal against Man City and still has the potential to conjure up some magic.

ST: Rasmus Hojlund – Goals in the last two games of the Premier League campaign will have done Hojlund's confidence all over the world. Man Utd will need him to ease the pressure when the ball is turned over at Wembley.
