Bruno Fernandes' agent 'held talks with several clubs' ahead of Man Utd exit decision

The agent of Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has reportedly held talks with several top clubs as he prepares to make a decision on his future with the club.

Reports of a major club switch in April sparked intense speculation over Fernandes' future with United as he approaches the final two years of his contract, which includes an option for another 12 months.

Fernandes, however, has repeatedly stressed his desire to play for United, while acknowledging his need to feel important to those in charge.

Continuing to stoke the summer fire, Fabrizio Romano took to social media to reveal that Fernandes' agent, Miguel Pinho, has recently held numerous talks with several elite teams across Europe.

It is said that Fernandes is still committed to United but is yet to make a final decision on his continuation at Old Trafford.

While Fernandes' desire to stay is clear, what is less reassuring is the feeling he gets from Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS.

The new owner is ready to limit the transfer budget in the summer and encourage United to raise money through player sales, with Fernandes one of the most important assets in the current squad.

Manager Erik ten Hag has insisted he expects Fernandes to stay this summer, but there are doubts over the Dutchman's future as Ratcliffe prepares to carry out a review of his position.

Reports ahead of the FA Cup final suggested that United had already decided to part ways with Ten Hag, whose victory at Wembley later sparked reports that the manager could be retained for the upcoming campaign.
