Dominate with a notch win in Game 1 vs. Canucks | TheAHL.com

The Ontario Reign opened their Pacific Division semifinal series with a 3-1 win over Abbotsford at Toyota Arena on Wednesday night.

The Reign leads the best-of-five series, one game to go, and will host Game 2 on Sunday.

Rookie Erik Portillo made 23 saves in his third straight win to open the postseason. TJ Tynan led offensively with goals and assists.

Alex Turcotte again Nikita Pavlychev scored their first playoff goals for the Reign, who improved to 22-4-0-1 since Feb. 23.

Max Sasson he gave up one goal against the Canucks, making 18 saves Zach Sawchenko.
