Crystal Palace could spend part of Olise's release clause on the 11-goal winger

Crystal Palace have identified a potential new addition this summer in the form of a goalscorer, as Oliver Glasner looks to continue his transformation at Selhurst Park.

Olise's future is in doubt

One of the biggest questions for the South London outfit surrounds the future of Michael Olise. The talented winger has struggled with another injury-plagued campaign this season, but remains a sought-after talent in the Premier League and Europe.

Chelsea thought they had secured a deal last summer when they activated his £35m release clause, only for Olise to stay and pen a new deal at Selhurst Park, with the clause reportedly set at £60m.

That is not thought to be a major obstacle though, and Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United are all thought to be interested in signing him this summer, with United in particular making him a top target.

It remains to be seen whether or not he will leave this summer, as reports say he is determined to play Champions League football if he leaves South London ahead of the new season.

He will add a lot of versatility to Glasner's team.

He's not the only player who could leave, with team-mate Eberechi Eze also highly sought after in the Premier League, amid interest from Tottenham and Manchester City, although Palace tried to stop that by slapping a £60m price tag on his head. again.

Now, it seems Palace are already making plans for new life in their attack, and are guarding another gem.

Palace watch the Serie A star

That comes as the Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport [via Sport Witness] they say that Glasner's team is one of the few clubs in the Premier League who have taken the reins of young Matias Soulé. The 21-year-old Argentine has a contract with Juventus, but spent the season on loan at Frosinone, where he managed 11 goals and 3 assists in 33 Serie A outings.

But he will not return to Juventus, the report says, with the Old Lady looking to cash in on his good form to fund their transfer business. As a result, they are 'expecting to receive offers' of around €30m-35m for his services (£26m-£30m), with Palace and Brentford touted as the two clubs most keen to do a deal.

Another thing that can encourage them both, Soule has admitted his dream of playing in the top division in England: “If they gave me the chance to choose the league, I would go to England.” Everyone knows that it is one of the best leagues, it would be a dream to play there. I would also like to stay at Juventus. ”

The fee represents almost half of what Palace will receive if Olise leaves the club this summer, and will allow them the flexibility to strengthen elsewhere ahead of the new season. But they will have to fight their Premier League rivals if they decide Soule is their man.
