'I'm not good enough' – Tottenham player criticizes himself for poor form
Tottenham lost again at the weekend against Liverpool.
The North London side have lost their last four Premier League games, their worst run in two decades.
Their season started in a promising way but in the last few months, their situation has turned sour.
Spurs now lose their race against Aston Villa to qualify for next season's Champions League.
Ange Postecoglou's side looked to be favorites to finish in the top four in one division but Unai Emery's Aston Villa look to be favorites in this division to compete in the European competition.
Tottenham captain Heung-min Son has been disappointed with his team's form and his personal form.
Although Son scored against Liverpool at Anfield at the weekend, his form has not been good in recent weeks.
In an interview posted on The official account of Tottenham XSondana discussed his team's form and how he should do better in the leadership role.
“As a captain, I'm not good either, so I want to keep pushing hard because this means something to me, to wear this shirt and to everyone else,” he said.
“So if you play in the Premier League and you're young or you're an experienced player, it doesn't matter, if you put on the shirt, you have to give everything.”
The South Korean forward has scored 17 league goals and provided nine assists this season.
His stats have been good above all but his recent form, in which he has scored three goals in the last eight games, has come at the wrong time for his club.
The Tottenham striker has been the club's best player
After scoring 10 goals in the league last season, his return of 17 goals this season is very impressive.
With three games left to play this season, Tottenham will be hoping that Son will regain his good form and have a chance to finish in the top four of the Premier League.
The 32-year-old is a reliable striker and has carried the goalscoring burden for Spurs this season following Harry Kane's departure to Bayern Munich last summer.
