Isaac Chamberlain will face the late Jack Massey on June 15 after Michael Cieslak's withdrawal

British and Commonwealth cruiserweight champion Isaac Chamberlain was honored to challenge Michal Cieslak for the European title at Selhurst Park, London, on Saturday June 15.

Things changed today when it was revealed that Cieslak was injured and could not face Chamberlain.

Instead, Boxxer made a deal for Chamberlain to face Jack Massey for the vacant EBU title. Cieslak will be a legitimate challenger to the winner.

The fight will be under Chris Billam-Smith-Richard Riakporhe, who will fight for the WBO cruiserweight belt on Sky Sports.

Chamberlain (16-2, 8 knockouts) went professional in 2015 and won his first 9 fights before suffering a broken knee in a loss to future WBO champion Lawrence Okolie (UD 10).

The 30-year-old Londoner had won five times before losing by wide decision to Billam-Smith (UD 12) at the Commonwealth and European Championships. He was able to use that loss to further his career and claimed the British and vacant Commonwealth titles by defeating Michael Lawal (UD 12).

Massey (21-2, 12 KOs) won the ABA cruiserweight title as a rookie in 2013 before turning professional that same year. After 16 wins Massey fell short against Riakporhe (UD 12) in the vacant British title in 2019.

The 31-year-old has righted the ship with four wins, most notably over Bilal Laggoune (TKO 3). He decided to roll the dice and move up to heavyweight where he was defeated by Joseph Parker (UD 10). He has returned to cruiserweight which he has won.
