Eros Correa signs in partnership with ProBox TV, he will fight Walter Santibanes on June 5

Eros Correa could be a win or two away from competing among the elite fighters at 118 pounds. You will be able to do so in a new location.

Correa has signed a network deal with ProBox TV, it was announced Monday. Correa will make his debut under the ProBox TV banner on June 5, as he faces Walter Santibanes. The 10-round fight will precede a super fight between junior middleweight Guido Schramm and the late Vladimir Hernandez.

Both fights will be broadcast live on the ProBox TV program and YouTube page (8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT).

“We are thrilled to have Eros back in the ring with ProBox TV,” said co-host Andrew Bocanegra, President of Boxing VIP. “This partnership is exactly what we were looking for in Eros' work, and we believe it will bring him amazing opportunities. This is a tough fight with the Santibanes, but at this level every fight will be a challenge. Fans will see a talented and explosive fighter in Eros.”

Correa's co-owner, Jessie Sanchez, agrees.

“Eros has been working hard to get into this position and this agreement with ProBox TV is exactly what we were looking for,” said Sanchez. “We hope that Eros will stand out in this arena and continue to rise in the bantamweight division. The fight for the world title is close to a few victories.”

Correa, 31, (14-1, 9 knockouts), who lives in San Jose, California, last fought on November 4, knocking out undefeated Robin Ellis in the second round. Ellis' victory came a year after Correa defeated Fernando Saavedra by unanimous decision.

Correa's best win as a pro, to date, came in June 2022, defeating former world title contender Saul Sanchez by split decision. Correa has won his last four fights since losing by majority decision to Katsuma Akitsugi.

Having fought several fights under the Thompson Boxing and PBC banners, Correa is looking forward to making a name for himself with ProBox TV in his corner.

“Signing with ProBox TV is a big step at this point in my career,” said Correa, who was training for the Santibanes fight in Las Vegas. “They have an amazing platform where everyone from all over the world can watch my fights. My ultimate goal is to become a world champion, and I know that ProBox (TV) will help me get there. I'm happy, and I'm ready to fight.”

Santibanes (12-3 1 No Contest, 2 KOs), who lives in Phoenix, Arizona, lost to undefeated Jose Tito Sanchez by unanimous decision in his last fight on December 14. In his last fight on June 8, Santibanes pulled off a knockout. victory, defeating Manuel Flores by decision in 10 one-sided rounds.

Both fights took place in Indio, California.

Santibanes, 33, won in December 2022, defeating former Michael Chaise Nelson by majority decision.
